I used an organic cotton yarn for this top and love how soft it is. It unfortunately fits her perfectly so I wish I had made it a little larger. At the rate she is growing these days it will be outgrown in no time! At least if this happens I can always unravel it and use the yarn for something else.
Today we were out running around town and a lady stopped and said what a beautiful sweater my daughter was wearing. That certainly made my day!

I don’t even get around to darning my kid’s socks. Looks like she already loves it, and she can layer it with short or long sleeves as the weather demands. Do you really unravel knitting projects and rework them? Amazing!

Hello. I just saw the lovely top that you knitted and would like to know how you finished off the bottom edge. It looks very nice and does not “roll” as in the original pattern.

Hi Gloria, Thank you so much for the compliment on my daughter’s top.
It still fits her as of today. As for how I finished the bottom, I used a picot hem. To do this you simply knit the top to the length you desire and then work a round of k2tog, yo repeating until you finish the round. You then knit 4 rounds followed by binding off. After you bind off you will fold your hem up and whipstitch the bound off edge to the underside of the top. The yo’s are what make the cute little bumps along the hem. I hope this helps you out some.
