I am once again joining Ginny over at Small Things for another Yarn Along.
I’m sorry to say that not much reading has taken place this week. I have been trying to squeeze in more time for The Egg and I but just couldn’t seem to do it. I can’t believe how long it is taking me to finish it! I’ve just got too much going on at the moment with the possible move to find much down time.
Thankfully our house hunting has been lending itself to some good knitting time spent in the car while my husband drives us from house to house. We have to travel quite a distance to get to where we are looking to move so I’ve been sure to take my knitting with me this past week. And I’m glad I did because look what I have to share with you this week!
I finally finished it! I meant to have Ariella’s Summer Dress done and casting on a second one by June. I sort of missed that self-imposed deadline! But it is done now and I think it turned out pretty cute.
I made it with 100% cotton yarn (yarn details here) and I just love how soft it is.
I think it will wash up easily too which will be a good thing since she was already getting it dirty within the first 10 minutes of having it on! I think it might be a little too big especially considering how cotton can stretch out but as least then it will last her longer.
As you can see, she was a super cute model for me. I tried to be candid with the camera but she knew what I was doing.
The seeds looked like little fairies dancing around her as they blew away.
After seeing how cute this dress turned out I think I just might cast on that second one for her after all.
