Joining Ginny today for another Yarn Along.
I have not had much time again this week for my knitting with all the craziness that has been our house hunting. We have been driving all around Oregon and Washington seeking out our new home and it has been exhausting!
I really was hoping I could show you a finished Summer Dress but today it is still about 3 inches shy of being complete. If I can squeeze in some knitting time in the next few days perhaps I can share it on next week’s Yarn Along.
A couple of days ago I pulled A Guide to Green Housekeeping down from my book shelf and dusted it off. It has been a while since I last read it and I am enjoying flipping through its pages again.
It is full of pretty pictures and simple ideas that are really very inspiring. I always feel all creative after thumbing through it.
I am still savoring The Egg and I and slowly taking it in. It is nice to curl up with a cup of tea and my tattered copy of it in the evening and read a chapter or two before going to bed. I think I might read Onions in the Stew again after finishing this one seeing that I am so enjoying Betty’s style of writing right now.
Summer has been almost nonexistent and feels more like fall here in Northern Oregon. I am not complaining though because I can still knit comfortably! How is your summer knitting coming along?
