The blackberries have me a little baffled right now. As you can see in the above photo, which was taken just this week, the blooms are pink. The entire bush is flowering pink. What baffles me is last year all the blooms were white. Does anyone have any notions as to why the colors are different this year off the same exact plant?

Hmmm… I don’t know… could it be something soil related? Anyone have any other thoughts?

Hi, Nice photo. I’m thinking it’s got more to do with air temperature than soil, but it’s just a guess.
I was wondering about the same thing. We have several bushing in our paster this year that have pink blooms on them, all the others are still white. My mother said she has been picking wild berries for 60 years and has never seen this. Not sure why a few are pink and the rest are white?
