Your Stellar Jays are so much prettier than our Blue Jays. It looks so pretty on the mossy rock. Beautiful!
Hi Lona- for some reason these guys are rather picky at my house and only show up here and there so when they do I always rush to grab my camera. This time I got lucky! -Cynthia
I’m glad Lona identified this stunning bird. I’ve never seen this type, we have the ordinary Blue Jays here & they are a bit mean. Especially at the feeders. Great shot for WW.
Hi Racquel- the Stellar Jays can be rather big bullies too. They will chase away the other birds when they come around. He is so pretty though and I do enjoy watching him so I don’t mind it too much. -Cynthia
Great shot of the Jay! They are much prettier, or perhaps dramatic, than the scrub jays. The occasional Stellars comes by my garden, but it’s mostly the Scrubs that hang around.
Hi Michelle- thanks! I agree they do seem more dramatic compared to the Scrub Jays. They both visit my feeders and can be bullies to the other birds but their little antics always crack me up. -Cynthia
Love your jay on a mossy rock. Those guys are so hilarious! Big personalities to go with their big hair. I mean crests.
Ha! Love your comment today Karen “Big personalities to go with their big hair.” So true too!
