Yet Another…..

It is Friday so it time for yet another Sky Watch. This shot is of my Japanese maple that I have growing in a pot on our deck. I actually have 3 growing in pots there but this picture is of my tallest. I am quite surprised to see that they are all still pretty much in bud. One just started to leaf out but for the most part they are still rather bare. Unless my memory fails me they seem late this year.
Today started out very rainy but the sun is trying to out do the clouds and we have seen the blue sky come and go all afternoon. I hope it continues and we have a sunny weekend as I have a lot of garden activities planned!

Yay, spring is finally here, happy SWF!
My buds are pretty slow to bud too. It’s been really dry this year around here, so I’m sure that’s why. I have plans to mulch some of the best berry producers with some of my pine straw tomorrow. Lots of big plans going on around here! I sure hope it rains Sunday though.
Our day here in Coastal BC was just about the same. We are supposed to have another nice day tomorrow as well. We have lots of wild berries around here. We even have a blackberry festival in August. I just love eating them each year. I chose a sunset for my Skywatch contribution. I invite you to come see it. – Margy
Oh, they look just about ready! My japanese dwarf maples are leafing out but I have no memory of when that usually happens. I think you guys are colder than us (judging by how much more snow you got), so it’s understandable that the trees would be tentative this year. I think the general trend has been for spring to arrive sooner, so maybe this is a good correction overall!

Everything, everywhere is late this year! It has been an especially long and cool winter added to the wet and cool summer we had last summer spring just seems to be dragging its feet! Nice photo with a beautiful blue sky.
