WOW

wow

I am very excited (and a tab bit nervous!) to announce that I am featured on wowOwow.com today along with six other fellow gardeners. We were all recently asked to answer seven questions pertaining to gardening and all of our answers are featured in a fun to read article. I had to step out of my comfort zone quite a bit in order to participate but I am so glad I did! It has been a lot of fun and I am honored to be featured with such an amazing mix of gardening bloggers.

Thanks to both Randi Bernfeld and Halley Parry for considering me for this great article on wowOwow!

WOW indeed! Never heard of this site before but it’s cool that they picked you to be included along with other favs of mine, Pam/Digging and Susan/Garden Rant. I will have to visit the others’ sites sometime, they were new to me. So, you think it’s good to mulch, eh? :) OK, I am really going to do it early next spring. What do you use, or does it vary depending to where in the garden you are? Wood chips or compost or ?? Congrats!

Thank you Karen. :)
As far as your mulch question goes, years ago I once mulched my flower beds with bark and the veggie garden with compost. Nowadays I prefer to just use compost. I actually like the way it looks better compared to bark- not to mention it is just awesome stuff, right?! I reapply it a couple times a year so I am always attempting to find a good supply of it. This year I have been experimenting with using chopped up comfrey as mulch. So far I am liking the results….

PS,

I think your blog is the only one I comment on that doesn’t have a subscribe to comments by sending them to my email thing. Maybe a WordPress issue? Is it possible for you to stick one in here?

Thanks for the head’s up Faith. It was a total oversight on my part. I simply forgot to “activate” this option. It should work now! At the top of my sidebar you should find the link to subscribe to my comments. There you should find the option to subscribe through email.

That’s so cool Cynthia! Congrats. Sometimes it’s good for us to step out of our comfort zones, isn’t it?

I agree Cinj- even if I still find it challenging to do! :)
