Karen- lol let your mouse hover over the picture and it should display the plant name. But just in case….it is a Diascia ‘Darla Appleblossom’. One of my all time favorite flowers for a container garden! Just wait until it fills out and is in full bloom.
Hi Lanny, I suppose you could try the buds but I have always heard of frying the blooms. All parts are edible of the plant are edible though so the buds could be included with the greens when they are cooked.
The fried blossoms are really good and I was even able to get my 10 year old to try them (thanks to him helping out in the kitchen!) and he really liked them too!
